Dig deeper.
Gain clarity.
Solve smarter.

Your next level may already be buried inside the technology you own.

We establish your current state, define what good looks like in a future state, and quantify the delta difference between them. That quantified gap is the opportunity for growth — and the metrics the engagement is ultimately measured against to determine the added value to your bottom line.

Facing a renewal or a platform decision? See how we plan a transition — timed to your contract cycle, with the business running throughout.

More output per employee

The same team handling materially more volume — the constraint moves off headcount.

Weeks, not quarters

From first working session to software producing a result — value arrives while the project is still running.

100% owned

You own everything we build, outright. No lock-in, no recurring platform tax.

The philosophy

The answer is usually deeper than the problem.

Most businesses know where they have a problem. They don't always know why — or what it's actually costing them. Revenue isn't growing. People spend their week on manual work. Systems don't talk to each other. Digging deeper gives us the insight to solve it properly: not a faster version of a broken process, but the right solution, sized against a number you can defend to your board.

We're not here to help you do more with less. We're here to help you do more.

Three situations

Where the ceiling usually is

Each one points to a different starting place — but every engagement begins the same way, by digging beneath the symptom.

Your stack has outgrown you

Six or ten subscriptions that barely talk to each other, a renewal every other month, and integration work nobody budgeted for. You're paying for tools that were right three years ago, and paying again for the people who keep them stitched together.

→ Start with SpadeVista Core

Opportunities outnumber the people who can evaluate them

More bids, projects, sites, or leads arrive each week than your team can properly assess — so they take the ones in front of them and the rest go unbid. Your win rate isn't a pricing problem, it's a coverage problem.

→ Start with SpadeVista Accelerator

Growth means headcount, and headcount is the ceiling

Every increment of revenue requires another person, because the process only scales by adding bodies to it. That math stops working before your ambition does — and hiring your way through it gets more expensive every year.

→ Start with a working session

The SpadeVista difference

The answer is usually
deeper than the problem.

Most firms start with the technology and work backward to a business case. We start beneath the process — with what's actually constraining the business — and only then decide what to build. That order is the whole method.

How we build the case

Current state · Future state · Delta difference

Every engagement is justified by a number, not a hunch. We establish where you are, define what good looks like, and quantify the distance between them.

01

Current state

What the process actually costs today — hours consumed, downtime absorbed, opportunities missed, capacity locked up, licenses paid for. Measured, not estimated.

02

Future state

What good looks like for a business your size, in your industry, once the constraint is removed. Defined before anything gets built.

=
03

Delta difference

The quantified gap — in hours, throughput, and revenue. It's what warrants the investment, and the number we're measured against at handover.

This is why digging deeper matters. The more accurate the current state, the more credible the future state — and the more defensible the delta difference. Projects don't get approved on promises; they get approved on a quantified opportunity you can take to your board.

The SpadeVista method

Four stages · One path forward

Every engagement runs this sequence. No stage begins until the one before it has real evidence behind it.

01

Dig

Establish the current state.

We get beneath the surface of your technology, processes, data, and operations — past the symptom everyone can name, down to the root cause nobody has isolated, and we baseline it in numbers.

02

Identify

Define the future state — and the delta difference.

We define what good looks like for your business, then quantify the distance between here and there in hours, capacity, and revenue. That delta difference is what justifies the project.

03

Build

Create the solution.

We implement it — the software, the AI, the automation, the integration, the process changes. Built live against your real problem, and owned by you at handover.

04

Scale

Close the delta difference. Then widen it.

We measure the result against the baseline from stage one — capacity, output per employee, revenue. If the delta difference didn't close, you hear it from us first.

What to expect
01

Working session

Bring us your biggest challenge. We find the real goal behind it and model the value together — no charge, no discovery deck.

02

Live prototype

A working build stood up against your actual problem — in weeks, not quarters. You see it before you buy it.

03

Build and own your data

Securely acquiring and structuring your data is the hard ninety percent. We do that, then harden the build around it.

04

Handover

You own the software outright. No license trap, no lock-in, no recurring per-seat tax.

Why SpadeVista

We don't sell tools

We rebuild the process the technology makes possible — and hand you the keys.

Process-first, not tool-first

We find the real goal behind the request, then rebuild the process from the ground up — not a faster version of the one that's already there.

Bespoke and built live

Working prototypes stood up inside the first conversation, built against the problem you name in real time rather than a discovery deck.

Your data, your software

Securely acquiring and structuring your data is the hard ninety percent. You own everything we build, outright.

Before you buy more

You may not need more technology. You may need more from the technology you have.

Your business has already invested in software, cloud platforms, data, networks, applications, processes, and people. Most of the value in that ecosystem is sitting in how those pieces do — and don't — work together. That's the first place we look, and often the last place anyone else did.

Underutilized software you already pay for Hours per week lost to avoidable manual work Data collected but never made usable Systems that should be talking and aren't Automation opportunities nobody has scoped Capacity trapped in the wrong process Downtime the business has learned to work around Silos between systems, teams and the data they hold
What we've uncovered

When we dig · What we find

Growth is a bigger number than savings

Cost-cutting has a ceiling you can only hit once. Increasing what each person produces compounds — and that's where we aim.

AI isn't the destination

Adding AI to a broken process doesn't fix the process. We find the problem, redesign the workflow, then decide where AI actually adds value.

We don't treat symptoms

"Our people aren't productive" is rarely the problem. It's usually too many systems, manual re-entry, and information that arrives too late to act on.

You should own what you paid for

Software built for your business should belong to your business. No license trap, no per-seat tax, no vendor holding your data hostage.

Applied to a platform change

The SpadeVista Migration

A platform change is one of the few moments a business gets to deliberately design how its work should run. The method above doesn't change — it just gets applied to a transition.

Most implementations set out to reproduce existing functionality on new software. We map every workflow, integration, data structure and dependency first, then design the future state on evidence rather than inheritance. The platform is the vehicle. The improved process is the deliverable.

Rigor of that depth traditionally took twelve to twenty-four months. Our methodology delivers it in 90 to 120 days from kickoff to go-live — timed precisely to your contract cycle, with the business running without interruption throughout. Parallel operation and phased validation mean nothing about go-live is a first attempt.

One thing worth knowing now: most agreements auto-renew on a notice window of 60 to 120 days before term end. That window — not the expiration date — is the real deadline, and a 90–120 day transition should begin four to five months ahead of it. Establishing that date is step one, at no cost or obligation.

Packaged · Proven

Proven blueprints,
deployed in weeks.

Every engagement starts bespoke — but the patterns repeat. These are the solution modules we've already built, hardened, and made repeatable. Each one is a real process rebuilt against a real problem, and you own the result outright.

Platform or module

Entire platform · Specific modules

Core is the platform — the system your business runs on. Accelerator is the module set that runs on top of it, or on the systems you already have. Take one, or take both.

Platform 01

SpadeVista Core

Built for your business. Owned by your business.

The system of record — replacing the subscriptions your business has outgrown with software built around how it actually operates. We build the modules you need, on your data, and you own them outright.

CRMBuilt around your pipeline, not a generic template.
HR & BenefitsOnboarding, records, and enrollment in one place.
AP / ARInvoicing and collections that reconcile themselves.
Order TakingOrders captured once, flowing straight to fulfillment.
WorkflowsThe approvals and handoffs your business runs on.
LogisticsMovement, inventory, and delivery tracked end to end.

Outcome → fewer systems to maintain, renewals you stop paying

Platform 02

SpadeVista Accelerator

Find the opportunity. Score it. Route the work.

The engine — it identifies what matches your criteria, aggregates the data behind each candidate, surfaces the few numbers that drive the decision, then orchestrates the work to whoever should own it.

01SurfaceFind the candidates matching your criteria.
02AggregatePull scattered data into a single record.
03DecideOutput the data points a person needs.
04OrchestrateRoute and distribute the work optimally.

Outcome → more opportunities evaluated, better ones won

Solution modules

What we've packaged

Repeatable solutions built on real client blueprints — tailored to your data, owned by you.

Bidding & Estimating · Accelerator

The Bidding Engine

Estimators lose most of their week to bids they'll never win. We rebuild the bid process so it auto-screens doomed work and sharpens the ones worth chasing — making you the fastest, smartest bidder in your market.

  • Heuristic scoring rejects low-probability bids before they cost you time
  • Winning bids assembled and priced in a fraction of the time
  • Estimators redeployed to revenue, not paperwork

Proven · 70%+ faster, ~$500K/yr recovered, fastest bidder in market.

Site Selection · Accelerator

Site Finder

Evaluating a site drags on for weeks — zoning, permits, and cost math redone by hand on every change. We turn it into live nodes that recompute instantly, so you screen and rank locations in hours.

  • Zoning, permit & cost feasibility computed automatically
  • Change one input — the whole model re-runs in seconds
  • Rank candidate locations side-by-side on the metrics that matter

Proven · site evaluation 2 months to 3 hours; layout math 3 days to under 2 min.

Customer Data · Core

Owned CRM

Stop renting your customer data. We build a CRM tailored to how your business actually sells — replacing six-figure per-seat platforms with software you own outright, at a fraction of the cost.

  • Built around your pipeline, not a generic template
  • No per-seat licensing — you own the code and the data
  • Stood up in weeks, not a multi-quarter rollout

Proven · ~$85K/yr platform replaced for under $25K, built in 25 days, fully owned.

Freight & Logistics · Accelerator

Logistics Arbitrage

A broker can only bid a handful of loads by hand. We deploy a semi-autonomous engine that fires hundreds of priced offers in the time one used to take — so you win on coverage instead of fighting on margin.

  • ~200 priced offers in the time a broker placed ~20
  • Win rate driven by coverage, not luck
  • Human-in-the-loop control over every committed deal

Proven · ~20× win rate, landed deals doubled.

Back Office · Core · Accelerator

Process Automation

Outsourcing alone just moves manual work somewhere cheaper. We re-engineer the process itself and apply automation on top — so work that needed a team runs largely on its own, with your staff supervising exceptions.

  • Map the real process, then rebuild it — not a faster version of the old one
  • Automate the repeatable ninety percent; route exceptions to people
  • Reclaim throughput without adding headcount

Blueprint · applied across back-office and operations workflows.

Custom

Your Blueprint

Don't see your workflow above? Most engagements start as something new and become the next packaged module. Bring your hardest, most manual process — if it can be rebuilt, we'll prove it live in the first conversation.

  • Bespoke build against your real problem
  • Working prototype before you commit to the full build
  • You own everything we ship

Approach · dig first, built live, owned by you.

The SpadeVista method

Packaged doesn't mean off-the-shelf

Every module runs the same four stages as every other engagement. A blueprint gives us a head start on stage one — it never replaces it.

01

Dig

Establish the current state.

We get beneath the surface of your process and data. A matching blueprint tells us where to look first — it doesn't tell us what we'll find.

02

Identify

Define the future state — and the delta difference.

We adapt the blueprint to your rules, your data, and the way your business actually runs, then show you what that changes.

03

Build

Create the solution.

A working version against your real workflow — in weeks, not quarters. You see it running before you commit to the full build.

04

Scale

Close the delta difference. Then widen it.

Measured against the baseline from stage one. The software and the data are yours — no lock-in, no per-seat tax.

About SpadeVista

The methodology came from
the hardest environments.

SpadeVista was built on an approach proven inside large, complicated technology ecosystems — the kind with competing priorities, entrenched vendors, and a dozen systems that all have to keep running.

Where the method comes from

Built at enterprise scale

Our methodology didn't start on a whiteboard. It came out of years spent inside enterprise technology environments where nothing exists in isolation — where a single change touches identity, security, networking and business units across the organization, and where the systems in question cannot go down.

Experience in those environments has proven a consistent truth: systems, processes and the teams that own them are siloed, and technology alone never resolves that. A solution has to be cohesive — the platform and the process improved together — because operational excellence is what actually produces a business outcome, not the software underneath it.

Quantifying the delta difference between current and future state is the other half, and it's closer to a craft than a calculation. It has been refined across years and dozens of scenarios by understanding what CFOs and finance leaders actually need to see. That is the only way projects get funded.

Sequencing is its own mastery. Knowing what order the work has to happen in — what can run in parallel, what has to wait, where the business genuinely cannot absorb disruption — comes from having done it repeatedly, at scale, in environments where precision and uninterrupted operations were the requirement.

Dig deeper. Gain clarity. Solve smarter. Not a framework we invented — a discipline we earned.

That discipline now goes to work for organizations across every vertical — regardless of size, sector, or how complex the environment happens to be. The method scales because the questions are the same everywhere: what is actually happening today, what should be happening instead, and what is the difference worth.

What complexity actually looks like

Ecosystems, not products

Enterprise work is rarely about one system. It is about how many of them interact, and who owns each piece.

Multiple service providers

Managed service partners, platform vendors, integrators and internal teams — each with their own scope, contracts, incentives and definition of done. Coordinating them is its own discipline.

Integration surface

Identity, data flows, APIs and middleware connecting systems that were never designed to work together. The integration layer is where most projects discover what they missed.

Competing stakeholders

Security, operations, finance and the business unit paying for it rarely want the same thing. Alignment is engineered deliberately, not assumed.

Operational constraint

Production cannot stop. Every change has to be planned, staged and validated against live operations — which is why parallel running is a default, not a luxury.

Steve Sutherland

Founder & President

Steve spent 20+ years in enterprise technology and solution design, most recently in Global & Enterprise End User Computing at VMware and Omnissa, responsible for a $10 million annual territory spanning VDI, unified endpoint management, identity and single sign-on across the largest accounts in the portfolio. Before that: enterprise roles at Box and SpringCM.

The through-line across all of it was never the product. It was understanding an environment well enough to propose something that would survive contact with it — aligning security, operations and finance around a shared definition of the problem, working alongside incumbent providers rather than around them, and mapping integration dependencies before committing to a date.

The quantification habit came from the same place. Steve was nominated to lead the ROI tool-building effort deployed as a sales standard across the organization, then taught project-plan and ROI construction to the wider team — building the business cases that clear a capital review. That is the delta difference, learned at enterprise scale.

He founded SpadeVista to bring that discipline to businesses that have outgrown their systems but don't have an enterprise program office to lean on — where the constraint is real, the stakes are proportionally higher, and nobody has the luxury of a failed implementation.

20+ yrsEnterprise technology

Representative engagement — global device lifecycle

A global enterprise moved every end-user device through a 27-step path: ordered, shipped to a third-party staging facility, imaged and configured by hand, then forwarded on to the employee — with approval gates queued between each stage. We mapped it end to end and asked a different question of every step: does this need a person, or does it need a system?

Most didn't need a person. Imaging and configuration moved upstream to the factory floor, where devices could ship ready to use. Approvals that existed only to move a request forward were automated. The third-party staging vendor came out of the path entirely. The remaining workflow was integrated directly with ServiceNow, so provisioning, tracking and support all ran through systems the business already owned.

27 → 11Process steps
4 wks → 2 wksOrder to delivery
$427 → $220Cost per device

The second-order effects were larger than the first. Devices deployed under modern management could be supported remotely once in the field, which cut help desk ticket volume sharply, reduced downtime and replacement cycles, and removed a $2M first-year cost the business had absorbed after its previous refresh. Security compliance across the deployed fleet rose from 76% to 98%, because policy now travelled with the device rather than depending on someone applying it correctly at a staging bench.

Fewer steps, half the lead time, roughly 48% less cost per device, and a fleet that could finally be managed after deployment. The same sequence SpadeVista runs today: establish the current state, define the future state, quantify the delta difference, then close it.
